The company began its history in 1958. Originally it bore the ingenious name Liaocheng Vehicle Manufacturing and Repair Factory.

The result of this specialization was the change of name to Liaocheng Bus Factory.

In 1994, the first serious restructuring of the company took place, as a result of which it changed its name to Shandong Bus Co., Ltd.

The current name appeared later - in 1998.

The year 2000 marked by the acquisition of the latest technologies from the Dutch VDL Bova, which allowed the production of buses that meet all modern standards. Zhongtong Bus begins to play an increasingly prominent role in the world market
